David Strobel

Executive Officer / Program Manager

David Strobel is the Executive Officer / Program Manager for Technology and Communications Systems, Inc. (TECOMSYS.)

A graduate of Indiana State University, David holds a Bachelor’s of science in Communication.

After completing the US Air Force Officer Training School, David earned a commission as a Combat Camera officer. He also served as a US Army NCO working as a Broadcast Journalist and Photojournalist, including running the New Mexico National Guard Public Affairs mission to Operation Jump Start in support of the US Border Patrol. David received the Meritorious Service Medal for organizing the rescue of a military hospital in Turkey during Operation Desert Storm.

David has nearly two decades experience as an instructor and instructor certification examiner in parachute operations, including Accelerated Freefall, tandem, and both cargo and live static line drops. With nearly 5000 jumps, David has been involved with developing and testing parachutes and parachute systems for civilian markets and military missions.

David has trained US and foreign allied military and civilian students in activities as wide-ranging as first response medical aid, motorcycle operation skills, field documentation / news reporting, and parachute jumping and rigging. He’s been a PADI-certified SCUBA diver since 1975, and served as the captain of the “General Jubal Early,” the last remaining ferry boat operating on the Potomac River.
